A couple of days ago, we were treated for a pancake dinner by a generous family friend.\u00a0 We went to a pancake house in Noordwijk with the whole family.\u00a0 Like the name implies, the restaurant serves almost a hundred different kinds of pancakes.\u00a0\u00a0 The pancakes menu is so overwhelming, that you can have pretty much anything on your pancake.\u00a0 There are two different kinds of pancakes; sweet pancakes and savory pancakes. BTW, the Dutch call pancake &#8220;pannekoek&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2051\" title=\"salmon-pancake\" src=\"http:\/\/bagbible.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/salmon-pancake.jpg\" alt=\"salmon-pancake\" width=\"500\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"http:\/\/bagbible.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/salmon-pancake.jpg 500w, http:\/\/bagbible.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/salmon-pancake-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The sweet pancakes\u00a0are not as unusual as the savory pancakes since in the States we also eat our pancakes with syrup.\u00a0 However, the savory pancakes are a little bit unexpected.\u00a0 I&#8217;m always adventurous with food, hence I ordered the savory kind.\u00a0 My pancake was topped with smoked salmon, capers, cabbage and red onions.\u00a0 It also came with sauce that tasted a little bit like ranch but had a lighter taste.\u00a0 The pancakes were not small and fluffy like the pancakes in the US.\u00a0 They were flatter and bigger.<\/p>\n<p>I also tasted the sweet pancake.
