I have always admired Bottega Veneta’s designs. Most of them are very classy, simple and chic.  When you combine all those with impeccable quality, you’ve got one state of the art bag.  However, I cannot help but chuckle when I see this Frayed Woven Veneta Hobo.  Maybe my taste is not “haute couture” enough, but this bag is just not my cup of tea.  Hey, if I’m spending over $2000 for a bag instead of my mortgage, I definitely want to look “un-frayed”. Don’t you feel like taking out your sweater shaver and shave all the frays? Oh wait, they already have that style seasons ago. Never mind!

The cool thing about this bag is the wicker part, when you look at it closely you can see that the wicker has 3 colors; ivory, gold and silver. The gold and silver are very subtle yet they still give the bag some shimmer. As you might already know, I love anything shiny and shimmery.

The wicker design definitely gives this bag a casual look and the generous 15″W x 14.5″H x 5.9″D size made sure that you can fit your everyday essentials.  However, I don’t normally wear light colored bag as my everyday bag, since I don’t want them to get dirty. That’s just my personal preference.  For the past month, I’ve been using a Tod’s bucket bag that has an open top, and I find it very convenient. I used to stay away from an open top bag like this one because I’m afraid that I might loose my stuff, but so far so good and I just love how easy it is to get my stuff in and out of the bag.

I always love simple and understated bags.  In my opinion, they will never be out of style and they go with everything.  Like this Kenneth Cole No Slouch Hobo, you just can’t go wrong.  There is a little bit of trendy element on this bag, which is the studded handle.  However, the studs are so few and small that it would not look outdated a year or two from now.  I couldn’t say the same about bags that have studs all over the place.

I consider this bag a great buy, since it is not as expensive as “breaking the bank”, yet you still get good design and quality.  It’s great for those who want to start collecting bags or someone like me who buys bags every now and then without any apparent reasons.

Katie Holmes was recently spotted with her Valextra Slim Shopper, which is made of grained leather with open pockets and rolled leather handles. The bag measures 14″ x 15″ x 4″, available in 4 colors: white, green, red and blue.

I like how simple this bag is. It does not scream “look at me” while at the same time displaying luxury.  Only a secure woman that does not need to prove anything would carry something without any logo or monogram.

Eva Longoria spotted in her Be & D Kan Kan tote May 11 and 12^th in Los Angeles, which she was first seen rocking back in December 2007! It is nice to see that celebs aren’t always wearing their standard Birkins and Chanels! Lucky for us Be & D is continuing this style for AW 09, as well as introducing some new Kan Kan silhouettes!

I don’t usually like studded bags, especially if they are heavily studded. I always think that bag with too many studs looks tacky and too rock n roll for me. However, I’m loving this Marc Jacobs Cecilia.

I especially like the color combination.  Gold studs with cream leather make the studs shine in a very subtle way. Although, I’m not too crazy about the blue trim.

The tiny stud size makes the bag look less rock n roll and their scattered placement makes the bag sparkle all over.

The ruching on the top reminded me of the Nancy Gonzalez Gathered Croc Shoulder Bag

Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively were spotted leaving The Waverly Inn carrying her Chanel Bubble Flap.

Looking at the Lanvin Amalia reminds me of the classic Chanel 2.55. The quilted leather, the rectangular shape and the chain shoulder straps. However, the Lanvin Amalia has a more youthful appearance, thanks to the ribbon weaved chain. I would definitely wear this before graduating to the Chanel 2.55.  It comes in two sizes.

I personally like the smaller one better since I’m a petite. However, the bigger one has more compartments than the smaller one.  I love bags with lots of compartments.  It makes organizing my bag so much easier. I know I can just use one of those purse organizer and be done with it, but for some reason I always find my bag does not look as good with the purse organizer inside.  It makes my bags looks stiff.
