It’s weird how I have been telling my girlfriends that I need a nice satchel and I ended up drooling over a hobo.  Right now I’m actually in a quest for a satchel, but I find this Kooba Dakota irresistible.  Every season there is always at least one bag from Kooba that I really like. In my opinion, their design is always stylish but not overly trendy.

When I’m shopping for clothes I’m always drawn to V necks because they are more flattering for a non super model body like mine. Therefore, I’m guessing that the V piping on the Kooba Dakota is what drew me to it. Not only that, I also love the buckles on the ends of the strap.  They give an interesting yet unusual accent to the bag.

This bag comes in four different colors, but I like this one the best (blue).  Even though it is described as blue, it has a lot of gray tone on it that makes this color very natural looking.

kooba-jaylin-crossbodyKooba did it again:  They came up with an edgy design!  I admire Kooba for being able to design a bag that has so much going on but still manages not looking tacky or overwhelming.

I’m usually more into simple classic looking bags, yet I find this Kooba bag strangely attractive.  I love the belt and the knot, I think they are the punch line of the design.  This bag comes in black and sand (shown) and it measures only 9″H x 11.5″L x 3″D, a little too smallish for my taste.

There is a bigger version that has similar design, Kooba Jacinda, which measures 15″W x 10″H x 4″D. However, the bigger version has longer handles that are meant for shoulders. Hence, it lacks a detachable shoulder strap.  I’m not sure which one I like better, I need to see them in person. I do know that like the detachable shoulder strap a lot though. Kooba Harlow

Kooba Harlow

When I saw this bag, I just had to have it. I know that I already have a handful of brown bags but the bagaholic inside me doesn’t care about that.  Usually, when I try to justify a bag purchase I would tell myself that the bag is functional and I can visualize myself using it everyday (does that sound familiar to you?) One day when I was chatting with my friend, Linda.  She told me that her sister (an uber bagaholic) also uses the same reasoning before buying a bag. Now, I’m wondering, do we really need a reason to buy a bag?

I like how the straps are connected to the bag, I also like the hardware detail.  Not too much hardware but still enough to get the bag noticed. Kooba Harlow comes in three colors, black, “luggage” (shown) and “grapefruit”.  In my opinion, the “luggage” color is the best of all.   It measures  9″ Hx 17″W x 5″ D- 8″ Drop.  Retails for $595.00

Kooba Talia

Kooba Talia

I love the color of this Kooba Talia.  It is the right kind of pink for me. Not too bright and not too pastel. I’m also enamoured by the triangle rings that connect the straps to the bag.  These triangles are unique and brings a fresh look to a regularly shaped bag.  The pleats give the bag a softer overall look.

I also noticed a hidden side slit pocket with zipper, which adds functionality to the bag but at the same time keeps the bag from looking too busy.

Kooba’s bags are always on my radar. In my opinion, they are well designed.  Their design is always edgy and unique while priced right.
